Recent Activity

In August 2007, the Allamps crew started to compile information about all possible guitar amplifiers. This proved to be a monstruous task for our small team. The site was originally built using Joomla, which was a bad idea since no users could contribute to the content except us.

Migrated to a wiki interface

Therefore, on September 25th 2008, the site was migrated to a new wiki environment. This allows for everyone to contribute. As you can see, the site looks very much like Wikipedia. It is actually using the same software. You will be soon be able to help out and add information.

The site currently hosts pages about 3,096 amplifiers & components, and it's growing everyday. Once we get the main framework going, everybody will be able to contribute.
